Antifouling
Antifoul is required to the hulls of vessels that are stored in the water to reduce the build-up of biofouling, that is, the build-up of marine plant and animal life that seeks to make a habitat on the bottom of your boat and running gear. Antifouling paint is applied to the outer layer of the hull of a ship or boat, to slow the growth and/or facilitate detachment of marine organisms that attach to the hull and can affect a vessel’s performance and durability.
